Stratum™ is a unique material developed and patented by Plastiglas. It is a recycled composite material that can be molded to virtually any shape, texture and colour. The material, which has earned the company an “Award of Excellence – Contact Molding Category” from the Plastics Industry Composites Institute, is extremely corrosion resistant to acids and alkalis, fire resistant, colourfast and ultra-violet stable.

Stratum™ is composed of 85% - 90% waste Fiberglass Reinforced Composites together in patented formulas, which can include waste products such as auto parts, glass, iron ore slag, ceramics and waste building materials.

In addition to its use in benches, signage and waste containers, Stratum™ is also used in a variety of architectural building applications. Compared with conventional products Stratum™ panels have numerous benefits including reduced weight, higher stiffness, and impact resistance, as well as excellent flatness.
